The Old Town Square (Czech: Staroměstské náměstí or just Staroměstské) is the most central square of the old town quarter in Prague. Staroměstské náměstí – Prague’s Old Town Square is one of the gems of the Czech capital.
A medieval square in every sense of the word, it is surrounded by historic and important buildings such as Saint Nicolas Church, the House at the Mint, Bedřich Smetana Museum, and the Old Town Hall. It is dominated by its most famous landmark, the 14th century Old Town Hall. The Old Town Hall with its Gothic tower is situated on the north side of the square.

Infant Jesus of Prague
In the Roman Catholic tradition, Jesus is venerated in several devotions, including the Infant Jesus of Prague, Our Lady of Fátima, and Einsiedeln. The prayer and devotion to the Infant Jesus of Prague originates from Jacob König’s 1689 carving of a Bohemian statue of the Holy Infant.

One of the oldest Astronomical Clocks
If you are wondering what to do in Prague, this is it. This is one of the oldest astronomical clocks in Prague, which was founded by Peter Parler in 1338. The clock has been working perfectly for more than 700 years. There are many interesting told and retold over the ages about the curse on this iconic astronomical clock. It is a really impressive clock, which you can see the replica in many movies and pictures about Prague.
It is placed above the entrance of the Town Hall in the Old Town Square and is probably one of the oldest Astronomical Clocks in the world. It is also a part of UNESCO’s world heritage site.

Prague Castle
Tracing its origins back to the 9th century, Prague Castle is one of the most important historical buildings in the Czech Republic and a flagship Prague attraction. The castle complex consists of many fascinating buildings such as the Strahov monastery, Golden Lane villa, and Spanish court.

Visit the Jewish Quarter
The cobbled path down the hill of the Old Town takes you on a tour to a historic place full of wonders, history, and stories. After all, the Jewish Quarter is the capital’s historical center of the Jewish community, and you can feel its rich history as soon as you step into the area.
It is home to some beautiful synagogues and memorials, and there are also some nice little shops and cafes in the area, including one popular cafe that lay claim to being a Harry Potter set. Vltava River
Prague, as beautiful as its castles and cathedrals, is also well known for its rivers. Five important rivers run through Prague. The main one is the Vltava river or the Moldau, as it is called in the Czech language.
Its origin is in the Krkonoše Mountains and the Vltava river ends into the river Elbe (in Germany). The Vltava river passes through the whole of Prague while one of its branches runs through Malá Strana, Prague Castle, and ends at Hradčany.

Spot the Man Hanging Out

This is one of the most popular art pieces in Prague. It is located at the main entrance of the building on Namesti Republiky street. This statue is a six meters high figure of a man who seems to hang out inside the wall.

Strahov Monastery

Spanish Synagogue
